An innovative catamaran has been developed in line with the Dufour philosophy which has been working over the last years.
The Dufour Catamarans 48 keeps the codes of the Dufour identity, specifically with the lines of the hull and their inserts, the porthole shapes and the deck plan free of any obstruction.”
A brand-new design that completes and compliments the new Grand Large line is the Dufour Grand Large 430. It is a new generation of Dufour Grand Largehulls designed by Umberto Felice, and owing to its broad bow and contemporary stern lines, it delivers a strong and roomy hull. The 430‘s deck offers a simple, contemporary layout that is expertly adapted to the requirements of blue water and cruising yachts. Trim lines and halyards are discretely tucked beneath the cabin roof and tastefully routed back to the winches at the companionway, leaving the foredeck and side decks free of obstruction. The main sheet is routed back along the superstructure to the winches at the two control stands with the traveler for the main sheet situated on the cabin roof, preventing tripping hazards on the running decks. The 430 may be used for sailing if the regular version’s self-tacking jib is not used and an overlapping genoa is used in its place. The genoa’s sheets can be quietly directed to the steering positions.
